CASAS offers multiple options for afternoon, non-credit Spanish tutoring.
Students may choose weekly Spanish study for three-hour (1:00pm to 4:00pm) or four- hour blocks (1:00pm to 5:00pm) during the afternoons, or a tailored afternoon schedule on an hourly basis. Student may also choose to accompany Spanish study with a homestay experience, living with and learning from a local Guatemala family, while gaining the opportuntity to utilize Spanish in a natural, everyday setting. The fee structures for these options are as follows:
Spanish study only (3 hr. a day): $120 a week
Spanish study only (4 hr. a day): $160 a week
If you choose not to study for a full week, each individual hour of study costs $8.00
Spanish study (3 hours/day) with homestay (food and lodging) is $200 per week.
Spanish study (4 hours/day) with homestay (food and lodging) is $225 per week.
There is also an extra book fee of $10.00, which includes 2 Spanish language books
CASAS payment policy for afternoon tutoring:
1. Students will pay for their classes in one month blocks, unless a shorter period of time is agreed upon by CASAS and the student.
2. Payments for tutorķa classes at CASAS should be made two weeks in advance of the first class. If payment is received less than two weeks in advance, CASAS cannot guarantee availability of instruction and lodging.
